- A first aid kit needs to be place at each charging station as well.
Proper air ventilation for charging station
- The charging station for electric forklift company systems should be well ventilated by an air ventilation system or be naturally ventilated.
- To have proper ventilation the hydrogen concentration cannot go over 2%.
- Combustible gas indicators and flammable vapor indicators should be present at all charging stations to monitor the hydrogen concentration levels.
Open flames near the charging area
- Due to the explosive gas mixtures that come from charging batteries there should no open flames or anything that can cause sparking neat the charging area.
- No smoking signs need to be present at the charging areas.
All of these rules and regulations need to be followed in order to have a proper charging area for electric forklift company systems. Not following these regulations could result in the severe injury and death of the operators of the facility.
